Christmas Party with Camp Quality

today even with an early start we went to Bribie Island to the Camp Quality Christmas Party, this is our First as Last year we got exposed to Chicken pox just before these parties where on and had to wait out 21 days.
this year we got the Boat (harbor)Cruise we only just made it in time to board but they were also running late, while out they checked the crab pot and caught 2 crabs Photo in slide :) the girls got rides etc and we all had a great day was a long day as we had a late night last night then this today and slept in a little :(

the girls enjoyed colouring in at the SES tent, the clown ball game, food and drinks and even got an exclusive photo with Giggles :) from Camp Quality we do miss seeing him at the RCH as we go in on Wednesdays and he visits on Thursdays,

Santa arrived on the train and got de wigged by one kid Grrr but we all tried to make a positive for the younger ones about him being a helper some kids even said it was his secret identity when he isn't working at the north Pole. Alex was sad as it was not the real Santa :(

just before leaving we set the kids into the water they loved swimming and playing, we paddled our feet and also cooled off before the almost 2 hour drive home but was a great day so glad we went this year and we really enjoyed our first ever Camp Quality Christmas Party and look forward to many more ( well me and the girls lol Hubby may stay away sometimes )

Flight Day with Camp Quality and other Charities

Camp Quality and a few other charities (Heart Kids and Starlight Foundation) had families go out to base for a flight day Hubby did some work for this to and we also went out this year to enjoy catching up with others we have met. and seeing all the fun stuff at the Base

today was good as we got to see so much more of Hubby works with the C-17's but to see the firetrucks was great, plus we got to see the working dogs too. Alex and Robyn were climbing in the fire trucks when a photographer approached us about their story for today and asked if Alex would have her photo taken so we agreed like always lol, Alex had to change shirts with Robyn though as Yellow was a better colour with the bright sun and tarmac ( flight-line) Hubby helped by holding the extra flash so the photo looked good :) I took some photos and we got to check out the KC-30 cockpit and this plane is a tanker but also a passenger plane so went through all the classes and wow First Class is comfortable plus lol they even have reclining seats with foot rests,  the working dogs were there but we did pat the Puppies both about 4 months old

was a warm day but well worth the heat to see so much even as a defence family that we miss out on.

school service at Church

Yesterday Alex's school did the Adventist schools service for Church, this is a day out for families but alot do not go we try to join in as it is a good day out. Alex sang with her class and also the school she did well ♥
we all joined in on the singing too was fun. after we had a Lunch with everyone that went to the church and the girls enjoyed running around.

later that afternoon we went and did some window shopping at Riverlink shops while there some french Guy tried to sell me a Curling Iron  not bad either but at $179 was out of our budget hehe but he did play with Alex's Hair
so now I am looking at a lower costing one for the girls hair :)
sorry Photo is ok as from my Nokia phone

today we also had 2 birthdays we got invited to but I had already RSVP'd to the twins so had to miss out on  Miss Aimee's :( could not do them both as it cost to go to both :( we go Aimee a gift  :) hope she enjoyed her day at the pool.

Alex and Robyn enjoyed Lollipop's playland even with one boy bullying Alex and Robyn almost spewing on the tea cup ride early on. this did not stop them going on though. we stayed toil almost close, girls were happy about having another Best day ever lol ( any day out is the Best day ever ).
I helped out the Twins Mum but videoing the girls day she was busy with getting things organised so it is always good to help out :)
on the way home Alex started getting very unsettled and she had a bad headache, I said we are almost home so try and relax she sat back and sipped her water a little closer to home she said she felt sick so i could not stop on the Ipswich Motorway so I handed her the shopping bag I had next to me emptied out what I could (missed the girls school hair ties so now have to buy new ones)  she spewed soon after and once I was on warego Highway I pulled into the inspection lane to clean her up lucky I still carry a change of cloths for both girls, no spew bags though I had cleaned the car and they still sat in the garage at home.
we son moved on as home was within a hop- skip- and jump away and would be better to be home. I had given Alex another bag Just incase she threw up again which she did all the way home :(

once Home I got her settled with a spew bag and set about cleaning the car out, then bathed Alex she went to bed after that saying her head was booming so I gave her painstop could have given panadol but then would have to wait 4+ hours before I could give painstop if like most times doesnt help her.  she wanted Mummy and fell asleep soon after this is a first with out her Toy Dog Elliot who goes everywhere with her from CCA (Childhood Cancer As.) will now be watch her over night for any more issues and hope she gets better soon as our run of luck seams to always stop us doing Christmas parties etc but NOT this Year we will enjoy and she is fine ♥

here are some photos from today

we are now at 23 months since the end of treatment and Alex is doing well, we have not had a hospital stay in 11 months and other than small issues we are doing well.

Our health and happiness is my main thing I can replace household items etc so why stress the little things.

Still trying to stay positive and happy even when it gets hard
