Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

On Thursday Alex and her Class went to the planetarium in Brisbane she had a ball
Well Friday the 28th  I went to school with the Girls as Alex had a Big day ( we all did really)
Alex had the Book week parade and Robyn went dressed as Piglet ( this was one costume Alex won at 3 yrs of age and well very good quality) Alex went as Dora of all things. 1st up was Prime Time which I had to leave early again Due to Robyn screaming :(. then a book week parade and followed by the "Cancer council" Biggest morning Tea. this is something close to my heart to see that funding gets back into Cancer research as I so wish to see no one suffer like us Alex is doing well and I pray she never has to see it again either,

the school Morning Tea did well and raised $200. for the small group that attended :)

I am now looking into a good healthy Diet For Alex and Robyn as this will help us all, cutting out preservatives (I did this when Robyn was first born and it helped Alex til she was diagnosed but it didnt stop the cancer but it may help them grow up healthy is my thinking will do some research into the best road for My family health wise!!!!!

I must remember to try feel for others for what they are going through but to release too as I have seen so many relapse in the last month I am stressing we will be next but on a good note Alex is going well and I must stay Positive as she is doing well and is all that I should hold to my Heart ( And Robyn off cause)
Next Scan in Late July so My Big girls will be 6 for that one and we should have had all her Immunizations done by then too

just some Random Photo's added here up top Alex at School, then the Biggest morning tea out front of the Library at school, Robyn (Piglet) and Alex Dora before school book week, Robyn at School waiting for the bell and Alex, and Alex Rock Climbing for WOSE at School.

Dr and scan Day

over the last few days I have been a emotional mess like always before this visit and scans as I just do not know what will happen but also just praying for the best outcome, what ever we do get we will deal with it as well we have to but its always a wait to hear as we see the Dr soon after the scans so we never find out  which is good the No News is Good news so here's hoping that I don't get a call this week...

Alex has also been fighting a cold still she sort of bumped it before we had Make-a-wish but not its back just sniffles and a sore throat so I kept her home on Tuesday feeling bad about it but she was not her normal sparky self at 7.30am she was lethargic which sets of warnings to me but she is not to bad so was on alert to make sure she stayed stable no temps etc.  I gave her the demazin I know she can have to help and told the Dr about it at the appointment,

Today we had the Dr visit plus Ultrasound and X Ray for Alex this was running late due to some tech problems so had a little wait with fasting but all was ok they where happy that it all looks good :) X Ray was clear too :) plus she had to have her port accessed as normal but due to the last attempt with not being able to draw blood out this was no issue today but as they flushed it the needle moved and fluid went into the skin which was very painful and made the port swell,. Alex loves seeing her Dr (Dr Tim Hassall)  he is a wonderful Dr/ oncologist and really treats the children great, so glad we used our private health insurance to stay with one Dr. I had a few extra questions also for the Dr like immunizations and her feet she is really pigeon toed now and slaps her feet down ( the slap feet is a side effect from chemo though) so he got the physio to check her out and we will be getting an Ortho appointment in the next few weeks and then Hydro if she doesn't start to improve, but think this will help her heaps

This week we have also hit the 6 month mark since Chemo Finished a small milestone but a milestone, so we should know soon what Immunizations are required etc and so forth, Dr Tim is sending our Dr the schedule for this so we will be crossing that bridge soon.

another anniversary for me this week is that My Mum will have been gone 20 yrs so this also added to my emotional state of mind as its 11 months since dad passed last year too.  I just wish I had them both here for the Call I know my mum would have been here to help if she could she never met her grand children ( my girls are the only ones so far) and Dad only met Alex before she was 2 and he did love them both♥

Pete also cut his hand today between the pinky and the ring finger so not a good spot but he is seeing the Dr about that tomorrow so hope its all OK,

we have also now gone to 8 weekly appointments from 6 weekly so that is a small jump but something positive for us :) I feel so happy about this as it means things are staying stabble and that we can relax a little but we must still remember that cancer is a pig of a disease that it Hides and can come back at any time, there is no cure but we just hope that Alex never see's it start again in her lifetime and that she can live a happy healthy Full Life

Cancer Mum's ♥Poem♥

this is a poem of sorts that I borrowed from another Cancer mum's site she also borrowed it so no idea where it is from? but it tells what we are and what we do but also in saying that it is similar to what any Mother with a seriously sick Child would know as well we do this for love of our Child whatever they have or are dealing with its Love

Cancer Moms (borrowed from a fellow cancer moms site)

I belong to a special group of women
My friends and I have an amazing bond.
We never wanted to be in this group,
yet we are in, for life.

Maybe we have met, maybe we haven’t,
Yet our love for each other is boundless.
We know the pain the other one feels,
And we share our victories small or huge.

Words like chemo, IV, Zofran , bald heads
Are always parts of our conversations,
As well as roadrage, tears, and meltdowns…
We always know where the closest puke bucket is ,

We can hold it in one hand and if necessary,
Swallow the sandwich the other hand was holding.
We can drive to the hospital,
Park in the dark parking garage

Make our way thru the halls of the hospital
And to the appropriate floor,
Settle in a room, turn the TV on,
Give instructions to the head nurse,

Silence loud beeping IV pumps,
Direct a wagon AND an IV pole
To the playroom without hitting anything
Make our way back to the correct room

And all this, mind you,
With our eyes closed at any given time.
We know how to draw blood from lines
sticking out of little kids chests.

We can hold them down with one hand,
While a nasogastric tube is inserted in their little nose,
And be on the phone with their dads at the same time.
We can live for days on hospital food,

And on maybe only one meal a day.
We know the names of up to 20 different drugs,
their purpose, dosage and time to be taken.
We are always on call, 24 hours a day,

Seven days a week.
We are used to not always looking our best,
Hard to do with only a few hours of sleep.
Make up, hair styling, skirts are words of the past .

We have become addicted to texting,
hospital, clinic, home, wherever…
We talk sometimes at all hours of the night;
we know we can count on someone to be up.

Then for one of us , the world stops .
She has to walk away, broken.
This job is over.
The job is over, but the fight is on.

Remember, I said we were in this forever.
We are friends, sisters, temporary nurses,
We are each other’s rock, each others punching bag,
We listen, we vent, we cry, we laugh together.

We share our lives and our deaths
we share our pain and our victories.
We are strong, but not by choice,
sometimes we win, sometimes we lose,

but never are we defeated.
We are not nurses
we are not doctors,
we are cancer moms…

♥Make-A-Wish Cont....♥ Final days 7 and 8

Day 7 Friday the 14th May 2010. Well today is our last full day on the Coast and we have the silly Timeshare presentation to do in the morning (thanks to me and my blocked ear and not fully hearing what was happening) it was good and would be worth it I think but not for us. We then went and the girls got to Build a bear so they did it all Alex's is special as it is her wish week so it speaks and they named them then we went back to the room to change and then it was Beach time we spent some time down on the actual beach today too,

Girls built sand castles with daddy and Mummy and paddles with mummy, we then walked back down the surfers paradise to get Maccas for the girls then back to the room to change and pool fun. Alex made a new friend, most of the week everyone snubbed her but today a Kiwi Girl named Holly said Hi and they hit it off so was good they even played with Robyn but as it was in the pool my girls cannot swim properly yet due to Alex not being allowed in a pool all last yr but now will think about getting lessons again soon for them, took some convincing to get them out of the pool but we did so a shower to warm us all up then dinner and hoping they are out early so we can start the thing of packing up this apartment for heading home and then had Pizza for dinner.
I am so sad to see this week come to an end but will have so many photos to look back on.

It has been one very long week but we have had fun even with moodiness and tantrums lol, the girls do not want to go home but well we have to Monday is school for Both alex and Robyn and Tuesday Pete is back to work,

Day 8 Saturday the 15th May 2010. Well this was our last day at the room and well it’s been a busy week full of fun and memories, I am tired but so looking forward to getting home and sorting out washing etc uploading Photos etc

*All up we have seen Miss Alex have a wonderful week away and doing exactly what she wanted 1. Feeding the dolphins and 2 a beach holiday, she has been the boss all week about what we are doing with-in reason and she has been spoilt it was one great time for us all and **Thank you Make a wish for this great time together and memories we have made**

** Added note from Alex as we had such a lovely view she told us at the start of the week that every night the large buildings grew so they got bigger hehe we just agreed with her.

on a bad note we arrived home to the safety switch being tripped and 2 fridges and a freezer full of food Gone to waste so more cleaning that we tried to not come home to and now shopping to be done,

♥ Make a wish Cont... ♥ Day 6 DreamWorld

Here is Dreamworld from our week away and Alexandria's Make-a-Wish

Day 6 Thursday the 13th May 2010. Dream World day today Alex was asked what she wanted to do she answered SeaWorld so I said we did SeaWorld and she looked at me and said not that one mummy the one with sponge bob so she wanted Dream World it was so cute she knew what she wanted but just had a mind blank as to the propper name hehe. We had a good night sleep by all Robyn slept right through in her bed til 6.50am then got in with me she went back to sleep for about half an hour but I got up with Alex.
We arrived at Dream World at 10am and walked straight in, the girls were excited, we did get caught by those time share business’s ARGH and it was the one that owns our resort we are staying in so off to a stupid presentation tomorrow morning for 90 mins but then tomorrow is ours, but moving on from that we headed to the animal area and Vintage Cars Alex drove us in the car she loved it and we went on to the wildlife area to see a dingo, Wombat some Kangaroos and Koala’s plus birds and Croc’s we fed the Kangaroo’s then washed our hands to head on to wiggle world.
The girls loved Dorothy’s Tea cup ride and I think all up went on it 6 times may have been more as we came back to wiggle world 2 times, I was dragged on the tea cups a couple of times too. Plus we all went on the Big Red Car ride not bad hehe. The girls met Henry the octopus and Captain Feather sword and Wags the dog so we took some Photos, and also at the wiggles front door, Then we found the steam boat we had missed it so hoped to catch the later one and waited for the Steam train the girls loved that. After the train we finally found Nickelodeon so the girls and Pete went on the blue’s clues ride (Robyn was too short to go alone which she was not to happy about).
Then the merry go round after this Alex wanted the sponge bob ride but Robyn was way to small so I went with her the first time, then we decided to try for the steam boat so headed back to wiggle world through Tiger Island and got to see 2 tigers napping. The girls went on the teacups again lol and then we waited for the Boat to start loading and had a trip around the river. Robyn was getting very tired and moody by now too. We did another tea cup ride with Me in the cup with both Girls and then back through Tiger Island to catch the end of the show but missed photos then back to sponge bob ride for Alex and daddy this time while I took Robyn on the merry go round Alex then did the dodgem cars with daddy and then stingray with Daddy.
Robyn wanted to go til she watched it start ( she was too short to go on it though) we then just walked out with some photos and stopped to get a few things then was about to leave when Sponge bob and Patrick where out so Photos with the girls then Angelina from rugrats photos before we walk out the gate and head back to our room ( we left at 4.28pm so not long before closing time, Robyn went to sleep on the drive back and we carried her up and she stayed asleep for some time it was a very long day (WEEK!!!) for us all and we have only the stupid presentation with windhams (sorry for spelling) tomorrow and some walking on the beach etc.
♥these are only a few photos from Dreamworld as I took way to many and those that have me on FB can see alot more sorry♥

update from us

well this is just an update in between the Make a wish as I still have one more to do but been busy,
this last week Alex went to school on Monday and the did Rock climbing and Tuesday Robyn was a grump hitting me all the time then Wednesday Alex had a run at school and all was good we then went to Robyn's Child care to pick her up ( here Alex likes to have a small play too so this she did) I watched while talking to one of the Child care workers and then it happened Alex went down with a BIG BANG bumping her head and port of all things we put ice on her bump and I checked her port which was grazed but not to bad, she was very unsettled so I took the girls home where Al;ex layed on the lounge watching TV and complaining of a headache so I just watched her for awhile, she ate dinner and seamed fine then went to bed but the DVD in their room stopped working which went down well NOT!!! so I grabbed the portable so she could watch shrek and go to sleep, within minutes she was crying complaining on her headache being bad and that she can not sleep with it plus saying it will never go away we gave her panadol and then she layed on Mummies lap in the lounge while I tried to settle her with no luck

she started to throw up about 30 mins after panadol and well this set off alarm bells to me I called the After Hours Oncology dept and her Dr was sitting behind the Nurse while I spoke I was told as she had thrown up more that 2-3 times to take her straight into the Ipswich DEM at first I thought Pete could take me but then realised he had a few beers so called a good friend who came around and drove me and Alex to the DEM and waited with us to see what would happen,  she threw up a total of 9 times so they didnt keep us waiting around to long plus she was quiet and not my Normal Alexandria. the nurses did the Ob's and then the Dr checked her over he tried to wake her which was a battle but she did sort of respond so we waited some more then she was checked again with trying to wake her etc she responded better this time so we got to go home with her she may have a tummy bug but they think it could be a slight concussion too, they didnt want to do X Ray as its equal to 3 yrs in the sun Radiation and well I agree she has had enough  radiation with all the scans etc she has with the Hospital but as it is a children's it is slightly modified to deal with children being slightly less Risk.when we got home she said she was hungry so I was going to make her something but she decided she wanted to go to bed (IN MY BED WITH ME) so daddy lost his bed and Robyn slept in the big bed with mummy
no school today for Alex she still has a headache but is looking better so will let her rest up and see how she is tomorrow♥

♥ Make a wish Cont...♥ Day 4 and 5 Movie World etc

Photobucket
Day 4 Tuesday the 11th May 2010. Today is a rest day we can hope hehe, Alex was not too pushy in the morning to get out but that changed, they played with their Dolphins and watched the DVD from Sea World, Alex has been doing find a word puzzles with a lot of help from mummy and daddy but at least she is trying to learn  we went for a walk and did some shopping got some pencils and a colouring in book for the girls which was trouble as Robyn threw a wobbly and we forgot to get 2 ARGH!!!!! Plus we got Bubbles for the girls to play with at the room hehe
Photobucket
We met the Make a wish coordinator at lunch time, well just after in the front foyer of the Crown Towers, she was ill on Saturday and she didn’t want to share with us, so we organised another day to meet as she worked Monday and we had our busy day so decided on today, the girls said hi and then became very restless and as they could see the pool wanted to go. She mainly caught up with us to be sure we were enjoying our time here and also the main reason to see if Alex was enjoying it and well that was very much apparent in her excitement and energy lol, when she speaks and we all jump at the moment hehe how does a 5 yr old know it’s all about her this week lol,
Photobucket
that afternoon we spent back in the pool side with spa and swimming fun for all Alex is our water rat goes well with her water sign (star sign Cancer just like Mummy) mummy and daddy braved out the big beach pool which is freezing as well as the turtle/pirate pool and the heated indoor pool all got used at least 3 times but may have been 4-5 lol as Alex kept changing her mind but we also got to jump in the lovely spa ♥ after awhile it was time to head back to the room for shower a short rest and then off to dinner but OMG Alex didn’t want to leave she wanted to stay in the pool all day/night, we did get out though with her very sad but once back in the room she was happy to have jelly and fruit then drawing so she was happy and distracted for a little while.

Also we had Outback Spectacular that night where Alex loved it all ♥ til the part with explosions etc she hates loud noises but it was after 9pm by then too so both girls started getting tired, we grabbed a few things from the gift shop I got a T-shirt as this was more for me as it was my 40th birthday Present (LATE due to everything that happened in July last year) girls got glasses that light up at the bottom then we drove home, the girls were out in seconds of getting in the car and we missed our exit so went the other way to Surfers Paradise was cool seeing the city lights from the other side even as we got lost and then found our way by the tall buildings lighting up the skies lol.
Photobucket
So tired but even with the girls asleep Pete and myself didn’t get to bed til after 12 as we watched the storm out over the ocean I took a couple of photos but not very good it was too far away, this was our first late night, Alex did have a bad night with dreams and Robyn was restless but I love cuddling in with them to settle them and Robyn was the last on up in the morning (She slept all night in her bed again WooHoo)
Photobucket
Day 5 Wednesday the 12th May 2010. Movie world today so another long drawn out day of fun...  we arrived just before the set opening time but they had opened the gates so we went in very quickly, then walked around we just missed Tweety and bugs but got a photo of Melvin the Martian leaving, then the girls had their photo with Marilyn Monroe, then Alex decided we had to watch the Shrek 4D movie again hehe so in we go we did this in Jan when she had her birthday pass validated by My-fun so she loved it. After the movie we decided to try do some of the shows we missed last time and the Loony tunes one was next on the list so off we head to the set, on the way they got a photo with the Mystery inc (Scooby doo van with shaggy, Scooby and Fred.) and then with a smoke stop for Pete so the girls and I check out the old west cemetery and found one grave snoring and another laughing at us hehe didn’t hear that last time lol.
Photobucket
Then into the set for the show was good and both Alex and Robyn got up to dance this is something Alex is not very good at unless mummy joins her, we then went to sideshow alley and Alex won a toy and wanted to ride the Big dodgem cars so Mummy took her while daddy went with Robyn looking at arcade games as she was too small. Then to the Loony tunes rides we grabbed a drink on the way, and Alex went on merry go round and then it was the river ride but only Alex and I went as they only had 2 seats left on that one and saved us waiting,
Photobucket
Alex was scared before we went in but then enjoyed it all, she was thinking it was the kiddy roller coaster we got a little wet , we then did the train with Robyn and mummy then they both did the mini dodgems and then decided to try have some food so went looking the girls talked us into lolly pops then we went into the Harry potter store got nothing then the Shrek store and grabbed 2 princess Fiona toys, then back out to see what next Pete checked out the dirty Harry Bar. We then went back to the rides as this was Alex’s instruction and another ride on the merry go round and then again the river ride but this time all 4 in the front row we had the back last time for me and Alex. Robyn was a little upset to get wet but loved looking for bug’s hehe.
Photobucket
After that we decided it was time to go and grabbed some food then watched the Scooby do show and got another photo this one with 3 super heroes Alex loved Wonder woman lol. Then we headed out grabbing a Tweety toy and Scooby toy at the gate for the girls and drive back to our room to think about what next for today or tomorrow
Photobucket
Photobucket
we also did the Aqua Duck today we did the 2nd to last one for the day, but as Pete was tired we decided to go alone he went with us to take some shots of us on the Duck then came back to the room while the 3 of us went on the drive ♥ Robyn was free so she sat on my lap but Alex had her own seat. I used the unicorn harness too as it was a busy place and only me so wanted to know I was in control a little hehe especially on the walk back to our room after sunset, we chose well as the sun set while on the water, the girls got to Drive the boat, and they get a licence to say they did it how cute. I also got photos of them driving, they really looked after us all on the cruise and loved Alex they did ask how she was as she was wearing her Make a wish hat I just said we are doing well and taking one day at a time as who wants their child with cancer to be sick (NO ONE) but we still have to deal with it. I would definitely suggest anyone going to Surfers Paradise to do the Aqua Duck it was pretty good with all the sights and info about the area.
Photobucket
Back at the room I had a lovely bath something that I really needed as I was so drained then had the girls join me, and then dinner Alex was out soon after these days are really taking their toll but she is defiantly having the best time and well if we say no do we hear about it lol ( we don’t as this is all about her plus when she wants something Robyn backs her up and they gang up on us so cute to see them united and sharing so much )

A Happy Birthday to my MIL (Peters Mum) and the girls Grandma in Victor Harbor South Australia

♥ Make A Wish Cont... Day 3 Sea World

Photobucket
Day 3 Monday the 10th May 2010. This is our SeaWorld day and Alex’s big part of her wish to play with the Dolphins. She also said a beach holiday and as we are staying at the Gold Coast “Surfers Paradise” how close to the beach is she. Can see it from the balcony, we all got up before 7am and Alex wanted to leave straight away but as the park doesn’t open til 10am and we have been told to be there at 9.45am we had to distract the girls for a little while and well this is not an easy task with a 3 yr old and Alex 5 almost 6 yrs old.

Photobucket
We arrived at the park at 9.25 and lined up to wait out our time Alex was so excited I expected her to be scared when we actually went into the Dolphin pool, we finally walked through the gates and made our way to the info check in area for the animal adventures etc and lined up yet again but not for long then we paid for the DVD so we could see it all and then got Alex and myself wetsuits in a Nice pink SeaWorld Bag then headed out into the Park.

Photobucket
First stop a drink bottle for us and the girls plus buy it this way we got free refills all day so the girls got a polar bear bottle and we got a standard drink bottle but with SeaWorld on it. Then we slowly walked down to the waiting point for all the animal adventures Pete sat with Robyn while Alex and myself got dressed into our lovely SeaWorld wetsuits, then back to wait with all the others, we also took a few photos of the penguins and another lady asked us to take one for her , the first trainer to arrive was counting us all then noticed Alex and so checked her band and said no we are a different group ( alone not a group) so we wait more while watching a large Dolphin swim around the pool right next to us.

Photobucket

Soon another SeaWorld worker asked if we were the special needs and I said Make-a-wish so he said that would be it and that we could go down and wait by the gate til the trainer etc where ready for us. Pete and Robyn also got to come in and we were told that others will want this but as most are 5-6 kids at a time they cannot do it with them as add parents and sibs it would be very confusing on the dolphin, we walked in the gate and then got life jackets on and slowly made our way to the water edge, Alex had no fear she was so excited ♥ we finally got into the water and met the Dolphin friend for Alex, Zack is his name and he is one of the biggest at the park.

She got to pat him and play ball, do some tricks and also tickle him she also danced with him and sang with him lol. Then they splashed each other and me lol, at the end Alex had her Photo taken with Zach all on her own, then the trainer took one of us all (yes all 4 of us) and just at the end Robyn got to part his tail and play ball too she didn't miss out on any of it, (Thank you Make-a-wish and of cause SeaWorld and Zach for a great experience it was wonderful.)

After this we went to the showers and changed, we had decided to take the wetsuits back but found out the dolphin show was on so went to watch that first, it was good. Then we took the suits back and went to sesame street beach to have some rides they went on them all except one that was closed, and as Robyn was small Pete and myself also had to ride, hehe was funny seeing stretch in these small rides ROFL.
Make a wish 2010

As we walked out they had the sesame street show on so we watched that and then watched the fish detectives (sea lions and OMG this show is so cool both girls didn’t budge and as we are now after 2pm they had the itchy feet and moodiness happening so was good to sit down watch a show with the girls loving every bit. We also went to check out the sharks and polar bears.
We finally had a couple more rides then went to get the DVD, Photo and some extra gifts before finally heading out the gates at 4.10pm one very long full on day for us all. We got back to the room sorted out dinner and then bathed the girls who went to sleep by 7.30pm, Alex got a lovely PINK Dolphin stuffed toy and Robyn got a small grey one they both got a bowl and plate plus one snow globe between them so all up one very long day but one very happy family we have this to always look back on.

Happy Birthday to a friend in Adelaide Kim hope you had a wonderful day

Day 1 and 2 ♥Make-a-wish♥

Well here we are home after our week away at the gold coast QLD Australia, Alex was so excited we have been counting down to the day we left home, we did not expect the disaster zone at home though  ( nothing to bad just the power switch  tripped and all our frozen foods went to waste and stunk the fridge and Freezer out so we have been cleaning all day today so we can fill it again but the smell is still there even with Bicarb and Vanilla Oh well on a good note here is Alex's week starting with days 1 and 2 and yes she had a wonderful time we all did really :)

Make a wish week 2010
Day 1; Saturday 8th May 2010.  Well today has finally arrived we head to the Gold Coast to get room key at the Crown Towers we have a lovely 2 bedroom apartment with a great view, we did all the cleaning etc at home so that while away it would be one less stress and something not to stress about when we get home it was a long night as both girls where excited and running on adrenalin well so was Pete and myself ROFL Our first day at the Gold Coast was for Alex’s Make-a-wish.
Make a wish week 2010
We drove down and arrived a little early at accommodation and the Gold Coast as Alex had too much excitement to stay at home. We went for a walk down the road from our room for the next week. (Crown Towers up on the 17th Floor.) We did some shopping like shoes for Robyn (she took them off just before getting in the car and they were forgotten til to late, rash vest for me and just food for the apartment to keep us fed for breakfast and snacks. We have a view of both sea and River so very nice and after our walk we know where the Aqua duck and Build a bear is for the days we are not doing the theme parks. We also went and checked out the gaming room Girls could not do much to their size (too short) then a lovely walk around the pool. We also have Indian for dinner. The girls both run themselves ragged which resulted in headaches for both Pete and myself but found a shower fixed it for us and a bath for the girls then we just watched the girls play (full-on lol) both girls were so tired by the end but still did not want to sleep and now at 8.50pm still up but very tired so waiting them out Alex crashed at 9pm but she had a headache and panadol was probably a good help with her sleeping, then we just waited out the crazy 3 yr old lol ( nah she is good just a typical 3 yr old lol and very full of energy so different to Miss Alex at that age who was such a dream toddler then she was diagnosed.)
Make a wish week 2010
Day 2; Sunday is also Mothers day. 9th May 2010. “Wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mummies out there “. Another day with 2 excited girls and as we promised a pool (swim) to Alex who are we to not give her that as this is her wish week and it’s all about Alex, she always says she is sharing with Robyn so it’s cute to see them enjoy every bit together. Alex woke me up with a special Happy Mother’s Day how sweet when we all got up she gave me a present she made at school and as I opened it and read it all out I started to cry. It’s one of the hand print sayings and will be cherished by me, rest day NOT lol will not happen with my 2 hehe but that’s cool we are here for the week and have to enjoy it all.
Make a wish week 2010
So as soon as everyone was up and breakfast had been eaten it was pool time as Alex wanted everything and how do you tell a 5 yr old that we are here for the week and will be busy every day, and she will get tired quickly  so Game room and pool today, lucky it’s a indoor heated pool as its cooler today and over cast not cold but we do not want colds we spent a few lovely hours in the pool today and then Robyn started to shiver so back to the room for a warm wash and lunch. today alex's Class at school also got up at Prime time to sing a song so cute I did video it lol  no real singing as they didnt have the  CD up to help only piano back up :) but so cute ♥

As this week was a short one for us here in Ipswich Monday Labour day public Holiday and Thursday is the Ipswich show day alex only had 3 days at school and we did what we could to make this a special week.
she still has her cough and temp are border line but so far not to stress The Dr wants us to enjoy our trip and at first thought we were flying out but when we told him no Gold Coast we were in QLD and really closer to the RCH if need be he said wait and Ride it out as if something comes up we do something but to enjoy as  we are still in the unknown.
Alex enjoyed going back to school and wednesday being my me day I got all I thought we would need ready for saturdays drive and also food we would need for the girls, snacks etc... so one less thing while away but at least in appartments (penthouse style) we have the means to cook at the room. thursday I got to go back to belly dancing to as missed 2 weeks due to sickness and next week too due to being away, so must catch up heaps lol, this was fun and we had a different teacher (the owner who is also in the semi finals on TV's Australia's got talent hehe)

A week on the gold Coast is on our way and 3 theme parks to look forward too Dream world, Movie World and of cause Sea world with Alex's Dolphin experience, we are now looking at what else we can do while down there Aqua Duck is on the list and so is the outback spectacular Dinner has been booked as this is what I wanted for my 40th belated but still fun plus Alex and Robyn both love horses as much as I do so well worth it, plus Putt Putt and alot of beach time, lets hope its nice weather with no real rain as Movie world the last time was raining

Sad Day :(

well its a sad day when someone close dies but for us we are sad to see another Cancer Kid get their Angel wings today :(  this is something close to us as we are a cancer kid family and wish to see none pass away but have seen so many get angel wings and fly that should have been given long lives to descover the world but god has a plan for us all so we just keep moving forward with the daily lives we have.

♥Fiona I have not met you but your blog has given me such strength with what we are dealing with and so sad to read your update today I am thinking of your family and hope now with Imogen flying free of pain you also can start the slow process of healing, your family has been through so much and stuck together so this shows me strength as being in a slightly similar road we have seen so many families crumble very early on, please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all in your sad time that will be ahead of you but please remember Imogens Smile and the good times these memories will be the treasures she would want you to see♥

~Please keep this family in your thoughts and Prayers and also all the others with Cancer in the family as this is not a nice illness and one I hope they do find a cure for~

Alexandria's New friend for the Afternoon the girls loved this little bug and got upset when it started getting dark and she flew away into the sunset
