Christmas in July 2011

Yesterday and today Alex stayed home from school due to tummy issues as she is holding on to long to go toilet (Sorry TMI) she needs to go straight away not wait as when she waits she forgets then gets sick and in pain, so I thought a rest at home to help her relax and keep the tummy issues under control. we went to the Dr and it is another UTI so anti-biotics to help her fight it off, I do everything to prevent this but even the Dr said she will be slightly higher risk due to one kidney plus winter is harder to get her to drink enough water  even though I am always asking and last night she drank a litre in an hour as well as soft drink :o

we also had the Christmas in July to go to, this is through Hubbies work and was a fun afternoon/evening out, we had a nice dinner and also girls got to pet animals in petting zoo and hsat on a camel she was to tired to get up for most of the day

we also have Alex's next scan booked for the beginning of September, and next month possibly a stay over in Toowoomba and see Dora's new show :)

Alex's 7th Birthday and school return for the 3rd Term

Alex went back to school this week wednesday the 13th July. she and us all had a good 2.5 weeks holiday and stayed warm over these winter months, fighting a flu that I was the only one to get bad thankfully.

am thankful we have had no hospital stays this year and all is going very well Alex is now 19 months off Treatment and today is her 7th Birthday ~* Happy Birthday Princess Alexandria*~ ♥♥♥
yesterday was my Birthday too and Alex had her school athletics carnival out at Toowoomba, she fell over but was cool about it, last night her left side started to hurt but not to much I could change her focus so no pain meds and we are watching it under Dr's orders as UTI's can present with no symptoms and effect her only kidney. Hubby stayed home with Robyn and I went to see Harry Potter the last one in 3D my small me time :) on Sunday we will go to the park and have a fun Family weekend for Alex's Birthday and well it will always be special as its now also a celebration of life for her♥ well for us all and all our birthdays. the girls are also getting hermit crabs possibly tomorrow depending if we need a permit or something will see tomorrow,

I have been looking into studying more just need the motivation I really love photography but think I need alot more practice lol and education assistant is on my cards ( teachers Aide) then could continue my degree in teaching at a later date or if something else interests me just need the money to do it now though ?

both Girls have been well and I have also been volunteering at Alex's school where needed just awaiting my blue card to go into other class rooms as Alex is to clingy to be helpful in her room :(

last week of school holidays

we have all slowly starting to get better I was the one who had to get very sick but lucky it was through school holidays so no school runs and the girls have been wonderful looking after their sick mummy, am on the mend but wow "go away flu" and am happy that Alex didn't get that sick. but she did get another UTI even with cranberry juice and extra care with cleanliness suppose this will be her life with one kidney just glad it was not a bad one

we had issues again with our neighbours complaining about a Rooster  as you know as the girls are now gone :( ( we had 3 hens and they all lay eggs and this is the min not max we are allowed by council) so as we did not need or WANT stress anymore we decided to give our girls away (chickens)  :(  am happy to say a good Friend up here took all 3 and they will have a great home, so this last week has been sorting them out
I also did the Christmas Lay-bys and trying to get Alex's Birthday Presents without her seeing them yeah that is a feat on its own lol, Alex is counting down to the 15th hehe can not believe she will be 7 this year and 2 years ago we were in limbo,  I am so grateful for every minute we get with both girls. may Alex's cancer stay stable and Never come back is my biggest wish.

Robyn is enjoying pre-school every Wednesday and like normal wants to stay with mummy but she is a real daddies girl where Alex is the big Mummies girl ♥ they can be so sweet together too playing and looking after each other ♥ she came home last week with head lice Grrr so even no school doesn't stop them so they got treated again and will do them again on Tuesday before school returns,

girls and hinting for hermit crabs now as pets as we want something that neighbours can not complain about and these people are the kind that will find something new now chickens not there probably the children playing to loud or hubbies Motor bike to loud ( it is stock standard so they can try)  well we will just enjoy what we have and not let them take that away from us.

we had a lovely BBQ last night and the girls loved eating outside so this is something to look forward to as the weather warms up

we just had a BBQ Breakfast/lunch of bacon and eggs, girls had french toast and now off to make chocolate filled cupcakes with pink marshmallow icing and some scones :)  this will be fun for Alex's birthday as it looks like just the 4 of us this year

a sad farewell to the chickens

today the chickens went to their new home, a friend took all 3 so they will have a good home, we have a ball running around the yard trying to catch them hehe but they all safely made their way to the box and into car for the trip to their new home

here are the last photo's of the girls  :'(

now we will see how long before we get into trouble for nothing, but at least we will not stress about this noise that the chickens make as if it was that bad, they are hens. girls are sad but trying to talk us into hermit crabs or something easy ( fish etc) to look after, so will wait a little while and sort out something

I am just so happy that I have 2 healthy children now and blessed with their love and attitude towards all that has happened. may we stay moving forward on this healthy road.

~♥♥♥Hug your loved ones close as you never know what tomorrow holds ♥♥♥~

school Holidays First week

Alex is on School Holidays as of Friday the 24th the school did a silly dress day as it was "Red Nose Day for SIDS" and the children all donate a gold coin towards the charity, Alex also took her bravery beads and wore her giggles T-Shirt she had a wonderful day. this week we also got the veranda so now the girls are waiting on Rain and well we get more in summer than winter so may be a little while til we see it

Wednesday the 22nd was also My Dad's 2nd Anniversary of his death, Alex has been sick all week so only went to school when she was well enough, had 2 days off with tummy bug and a bad head cold ( I hope it is only a head cold as we all now have it Grrr got to love the sharing ♥. )

Saturday June the 25th Robyn bumped her head on the temple so she had a bad night with the headaches are we are on 48 hour watch for any issues and signs of concussion

on Sunday the 26th the girls started making a birthday card each for my birthday next month ♥ Daddy also was talked into doing temp tattoo's on them :/  Alex got Tinker-bell but with different colours. Robyn got a heart with flames she is so like her Daddy is what she likes

can not believe 2 years ago in June we were on the radiation road and then the NGT was added to my list of Jobs I now know how to deal with. I am so thankful for every day we get to spoend as a family and at seeing Alex so healthy and full of Life, her birthday is the second week of July and like every other year sonce Diagnosis we are celebrating LIFE she is strong and so are we all

hoping to have some fun days out maybe the zoo near Toowoomba or if we can gain some funds a trip to the Australia zoo as none of us have been before lucky Daddy gets in free and I get 10% thanks to being defence family but still need a bit of money to do it and Tax time is next week so maybe next few months :)

we also got our first trade  with a neighbour he gave us a red lettuce and we gave 6 fresh eggs as all 3 chickens now lay so we will never eat that many hehe,

have been house bound since thursday thanks to me being down with the flu, am so happy that alex had her flu shot she is sick but nothing to bad, Hubby had this and was unwell for a few weeks so I hope I am over it soon
