♥ Make A Wish Cont... Day 3 Sea World

Photobucket
Day 3 Monday the 10th May 2010. This is our SeaWorld day and Alex’s big part of her wish to play with the Dolphins. She also said a beach holiday and as we are staying at the Gold Coast “Surfers Paradise” how close to the beach is she. Can see it from the balcony, we all got up before 7am and Alex wanted to leave straight away but as the park doesn’t open til 10am and we have been told to be there at 9.45am we had to distract the girls for a little while and well this is not an easy task with a 3 yr old and Alex 5 almost 6 yrs old.

We arrived at the park at 9.25 and lined up to wait out our time Alex was so excited I expected her to be scared when we actually went into the Dolphin pool, we finally walked through the gates and made our way to the info check in area for the animal adventures etc and lined up yet again but not for long then we paid for the DVD so we could see it all and then got Alex and myself wetsuits in a Nice pink SeaWorld Bag then headed out into the Park.

First stop a drink bottle for us and the girls plus buy it this way we got free refills all day so the girls got a polar bear bottle and we got a standard drink bottle but with SeaWorld on it. Then we slowly walked down to the waiting point for all the animal adventures Pete sat with Robyn while Alex and myself got dressed into our lovely SeaWorld wetsuits, then back to wait with all the others, we also took a few photos of the penguins and another lady asked us to take one for her , the first trainer to arrive was counting us all then noticed Alex and so checked her band and said no we are a different group ( alone not a group) so we wait more while watching a large Dolphin swim around the pool right next to us.

Soon another SeaWorld worker asked if we were the special needs and I said Make-a-wish so he said that would be it and that we could go down and wait by the gate til the trainer etc where ready for us. Pete and Robyn also got to come in and we were told that others will want this but as most are 5-6 kids at a time they cannot do it with them as add parents and sibs it would be very confusing on the dolphin, we walked in the gate and then got life jackets on and slowly made our way to the water edge, Alex had no fear she was so excited ♥ we finally got into the water and met the Dolphin friend for Alex, Zack is his name and he is one of the biggest at the park.

She got to pat him and play ball, do some tricks and also tickle him she also danced with him and sang with him lol. Then they splashed each other and me lol, at the end Alex had her Photo taken with Zach all on her own, then the trainer took one of us all (yes all 4 of us) and just at the end Robyn got to part his tail and play ball too she didn't miss out on any of it, (Thank you Make-a-wish and of cause SeaWorld and Zach for a great experience it was wonderful.)

After this we went to the showers and changed, we had decided to take the wetsuits back but found out the dolphin show was on so went to watch that first, it was good. Then we took the suits back and went to sesame street beach to have some rides they went on them all except one that was closed, and as Robyn was small Pete and myself also had to ride, hehe was funny seeing stretch in these small rides ROFL.
Make a wish 2010

As we walked out they had the sesame street show on so we watched that and then watched the fish detectives (sea lions and OMG this show is so cool both girls didn’t budge and as we are now after 2pm they had the itchy feet and moodiness happening so was good to sit down watch a show with the girls loving every bit. We also went to check out the sharks and polar bears.
We finally had a couple more rides then went to get the DVD, Photo and some extra gifts before finally heading out the gates at 4.10pm one very long full on day for us all. We got back to the room sorted out dinner and then bathed the girls who went to sleep by 7.30pm, Alex got a lovely PINK Dolphin stuffed toy and Robyn got a small grey one they both got a bowl and plate plus one snow globe between them so all up one very long day but one very happy family we have this to always look back on.

Happy Birthday to a friend in Adelaide Kim hope you had a wonderful day
